transfer bench difficult to assemble

The transfer bench was difficult to assemble because the screws that came with it were defective. A wrench had to be used to tighten the screws.

A shower bench that is a great gift.

This product was demonstrated to me at a nursing home as a great way for elderly or other disabled persons (especially after surgery) to enter a bath tub without worrying about lifting the leg too high and losing balance. I found the identical unit here at Amazon, and was thrilled that it was well made of plastic bench and back, sturdy aluminum supports, and has rubber feet that won't scratch the floor or tub or slip. The bench has drain holes in it to lessen puddling. It is inexpensive (about $70) with free shipping.

It comes unassembled, so putting it together does take some time, but not too bad. Basically screws washers and nuts. The handle can mount as shown in the picture, or also mount next to the chair back if you arrange the parts correctly (the mounting holes for the handle are pre-drilled on one pair of legs, but not on the other).

The recipient love it and feels safe using it.

Bathtub Bench

It was easy to assemble and is very adjustable to the height you need. I am an above-the-knee amputee. This was just what I needed to help me bathe when I got home from the hospital. I can transfer from the wheelchair to the shower bench with no problems whatsoever. It really helps in allowing for more privacy as I am the type of person who likes to do for herself.

This bench is terrific!

My husband broke his leg and sitting on the edge of the tub was extremely difficult because it was so low and narrow. This bench made bathing so much easier for him. He could get comfortable and take long hot showers whenever he wanted. It was easy to adjust to the sloping floor in the tub and felt sturdy during use. I recommend this chair to anyone with difficulty in the bath or shower.

Medline Transfer Bench

By far the best deal on this item. All other sources to purchase this item were at least $25.00 0r more to purchase.
It has the same quality as the advertised, more expensive item listed at Walgreen's. Might be the same item, only marked up. I am extremly happy with this purchase as it proves itself over and over with every bath I give my disabled. Bless you for this item!

medline transfer bench

The medline transfer bench worked perfectly in my case. It was of modest cost and is sturdy. I had broken my hip joint and upper femur. While healing,to shower and keep weight off that leg, I needed the bench. I can now put weight on the leg and the incisions on my leg have healed so I can bathe or shower without the bench. For those several weeks it was most useful.

Industrial Size

I should have measured my tub more accurately. This transfer bench is obviously more suited to a Large tub. And it was difficult to assemble because one of the legs had been mashed a little. A friend says it's exactly like the one her senior citizen center uses, which gets a lot of use there. So... I never got to use mine, and had to order a different one. That makes this a difficult review.

great bath chair

this is a great product .I received this product quickly, which as good because we needed it sooner than we thought. It has been a godsend since my wife had lower back surgery and had to limit the time that she was standing. the only thing is trying to figure out how to keep the water in the tub. It has an all aluminum frame and the plastic seating with the drain holes is very sturdy. it should last a very long time .

Excellent bench!

this little bench is great, and it fits easily into a small bathroom. My mother almost cried when she told me how wonderful this bench was, and how easy it made it for her to take a shower. I would recommend this seat to anyone that has difficulty in lifting their legs, and folks who have problems standing for a long period of time. Excellent item, would definitely recommend!

Sturdy, Safer than the small seats

This is a sturdy, nice-sized bath bench that you can sit down on before you get into the tub. A lot safer than the small ones that sit in the tub only. The backrest has a handle to hold onto which is nice. Would buy it again.

Excellent quality

Ordered this for when my 85 yr old mother came to visit. The chair is made very well, and fully adjustable. Allows the person to sit down before getting into the tub, and the handle is great especially when there is no grab bar in the tub already. The suction cups are large and prevent it from any slipping. It was larger than I thought it would be, but it worked out great.

Question : Jamie Carragher, Dan Agger, Martin Skrtel: Can all three be accommodated in Liverpool's defence next season?
The right side of defence looks wide open to me. I'm not exactly hyped about Philipp Degen's arrival. I'm very cautious about Liverpool bringing in players from the likes of Dortmund and Leverkuson on free transfers knowing how the bosman Voronin transfer turned out. Degen spent the Euros on the bench for Switzerland as well which is hardly encouraging. Finnan unfortuantly looks to be on his way out, and Arbeloa (whilst doing a solid job) hasn't exactly set the world on fire when he's played. We all know how capable and comfortable Agger is when it comes to having the ball at his feet and going forward. He could easily do a job at Right wing-back. We also all know how solid the Carragher - Skrtel partnership was towards the end of last season. Do you think this is a good possibility for Liverpool next season? Is anyone going to give me a sensible answer any time soon? Finally! Cheers Tevez. RH: Agger is actually very capable with both feet.

Answer:
Niall and Jethro... obviously power houses of football knowledge. Carra played right back for us last season and did well enough. I'd play........ Degen Carra Agger Skrtel Degan because Arbeloa is just not good enough and we can blood Degan straight away. Skrtel because he's shown he can hack it in the Prem. I just can't see how Rafa can leave Skrtel out. To be honest with you mate, my heart drops when I see Arbeloa or Aurelio in the team and I'd rather accommodate the better players even if they aren't in their preferred position. Shame we couldn't get Lahm instead of Degen, typical Rafa bought the wrong Phillip.

Question : ronaldo may leave real madrid......?
capello doesnt want ronaldo any more in his team he said that ronaldo wasnt in his plans and that ronaldo was a bad influence for young players like robinho and marcelo also capello doesnt want beckham and cassano he put all those 3 in the transfer list capello is stupid how can he treat ronaldo like that???? its his fault ronaldo didnt play alot cuz he always had him in the bench it really bothers me that ronaldo gets treaten that way..... R9 RONALDO#1 please if your gonna insult ronaldo and what not or say bad comments dont even bother to write a response.... i heard ronaldo is going to an arabian team well i hope they do appreciate him in whatever team he goes unlike real madrid

Answer:
i totally agree with you! That wasn't a way to treat him, knowing how great player he is... I don't like Capello, why in the world would he want Ronaldo to leave? And not only him, he wants Cassano and Beckham out of the team as well...>:( You are absolutely right!!!!!! FORZA RONALDO

Question : When was the last time u were really looking forward to eating something only to find it gone when u looked?
... for it? I baked a cheesecake slice the other night and it was so good! I have been saving the last peice to eat for tonight, and low an behold find someone went to transfer it from a big pie dish to a small plate and left it out on the bench to die :( I am really sad now!

Answer:
You were sitting there one moment, i blinked, and you were gone!

Question : My employer wants to send money to my a/c and then I pay him back as cash - please help???
I have been working for a consultancy under H-1b , but I have been on bench period for the last 4 months. Now I have decided to go to India for a break. But a few days back my consultancy told me that they want to transfer some money to my a/c and that I will have to return it back to them as cash - they however said it is only a must if I later return to the US by going for visa stamping & continuing with the consultancy. The reason they want to do the money transfer is because the immigration will check the bank balances and see if I have obtained salary for the four months that I was on bench. However, now that I plan to leave the consultancy, they are going to cancel my H-1 visa & they say it is not necessary to do that transfer. My question is should I listen to my employer and do as they say? If I refuse, then will I get into any legal trouble later on when I plan to come to the US in the future?

Answer:
There is a BIG red flag here. By putting money into your bank account they are showing that they 'paid you' but you are giving them the money back in total in cash. Please, don't they think that will show up on your bank statements? But then they will not give you a receipt for the returned money, so you can not prove the cash you took out each money was returned to them. You basically got a H visa under a scam. The 'company' is not following the rules and is trying to bend them to suit them If you are silly enough to follow their request don't be surprised if it back fires on you and you are then one that ends up in trouble.

Question : can i transfer a quad seat chevey suburban to a bench seat?
i have a 1993 chevy suburban with two single seats in the back i want to take them out and put a bench seat will the bolts line up

Answer:
Don't know if there are already holes to bolt the bench seat to or not...but if you want the bench seat it's no big deal. Remove your two seats...set your bench seat in there and see what it looks like. If holes are already there...good for you. If not get a drill and drill the holes to mount the bench. Use LARGE washers to spread the load of the new seat and to level it if necessary. Just cause the factory may not have provided holes doesn't mean it won't fit.

Question : PLEASE HELP... H1 Transfer Issue/Termination of Employment ..?
I'm on a H1B status and was initially working for Company A, with an approved Visa. I joined Company B and initiated a H1 transfer to them. I am on their pay role, however am on bench since i joined them. Its been 5 months and my visa transfer with Company B is still in Pending. Now, I have an offer from Company C, and am thinking about joining them. Meanwhile, since Company B has not been able to find work, they have indicated a termination of my employment if i'm not placed in the project by end of this month. I think i have no other optiion but to join Company C before my visa with Company B is cancelled. I have been advised to go for a premium processing of H1 to Company C, so that by the time i'm out of Company B, i have a good chance of having approved visa from Company C. 1. Is it legal to transfer my Visa to Company C while my Visa with Company B is still in progress. Note that I have worked with Company B for about 5 months. 2. Can I use approval notice from Company A and pay stubs from Company B to initiate premium transfer with Company C ? 3. If i initiate a transfer with Company C, and later Company B terminates my employment, what will happen to my pending visa with Company C? 4. Will H1 transfer with Company C get affected if USCIS gets to know that my pending transfer with Company B has been cancelled? 5. Will it make any difference if I resign from Company B (after initiating transfer with Company C), before Company B terminates my employment.? Are termination and resignation cases treated in the same way by USCIS ? Please help, as i'm in a bit of a crisis about what decision to take. Any kind on response for the above would be appreciated.
