Question : Is it wrong to want another baby shower?
I had a suprise baby shower almost 7 years ago with my son. Since then I've had 2 girls. The car seat, swing, bouncer and high chair are broke.I do most of the big stuff and a few small things but no clothing/necessities. My boys are born in different seasons therefore the clothes wont fit my newborn. My sister-in-law had a 2nd baby shower, her son was 6 when she got pregnant again and it was by another guy so his/her family gave her another one.(Although she was expecting another boy during winter like her first). I had mentioned to my mother I would like to have a small one this time seeing it will be my last and I only have half the stuff I need. On top of that my last 2 children were girls so all I have is pink stuff. She said, yeah I was thinking about that. I offered to help and host it. I told my mother in law the same thing and got a negative response. I was shocked by her reaction, she made me feel horrible. Am I wrong for wanting a small baby shower?

Answer:
sweetheart you go ahead and have this party and i bet many people will be glad to get a invite as you didnt have one for your girls so enjoy its your baby and i wish you a great party just wish we did them in UK would have saved loads lol as i have 16 grandchildren and i would have giving them ALL a big baby shower if i could have got away with it god bless and smile you are going be a super mom again dont let any one get you down

Question : where can i go in greenville county,sc for donations to non profits?
I will be operating a home for low income senior citizens who require 24 hour care.As a non-profit we need household items, assistive devices(walkers, canes, shower chairs etc.)hygiene items, food, furniture, clothing, etc.

Answer:
government grants is one way to go - you can search at http://www.grants.gov The South Carolina Office on Aging has funding opportunities and other resources at http://www.aging.sc.gov/Providers/Providers.htm Finally, you can talk to owners of companies that sell such items to see if they are willing to make a donation to your org. They might say no, but it sure doesn't hurt to ask.

Question : decorating brides chair at shower?
Any ideas on how to decorate in a funny or fun way, the brides chair at the shower?? Need help! Shower's tomorrow...

Answer:
You could hang tin cans from it, maybe some baby items like clothes, shoes, diapers, rattles (and label it, Brides future), or maybe a mop, broom, toilet brush, dishes, SOS pads. GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN

Question : when do you start using a high chair?
When do you usually start using a high chair for feeding? We got one as a baby shower gift but we are considering moving next spring so I didn't know if we should bother putting it together or just keep it in the box for now? My baby is due August 20th so we have a while to go!

Answer:
If you have your baby in August you'll be using it before the end of the year. I started using the highchair when my babies were 3-4 months old. At that time it was the recommended feeding age though. I do use it for them to sit up and watch me in the kitchen too. You're looking at your child being 6/7 months old when you move. I can promise you that you WILL be using the highchair by then.

Question : I dont know what to register for my baby shower?
I feel confused becasue there is so much stuff that we need and so much to choose from. Do i go ahead and register for everything and what you get is what you get and then worry about it after?? Do i register for big things such as car seat, stroller, high chair?? Or just all the basic stuff like feeding, blankets, clothes??

Answer:
I say register for it all, and see what you don't get to determine what YOU personally need to buy for the baby... I registered a car seat, a pack n play, a stroller, high chair, bath tub, layette items, bottles, bibs, burp cloths... etc. What I suggest is having a range of prices from expensive (for those who can afford it) to inexpensive.

Question : Has anyone built a roll-in wheechair shower in pre-existing bathroom?
We live in an 80-year-old house with a fairly large bathroom. Our son was injured in an accident and is now quadriplegic. We need to modify the bathroom for rolling shower chair access. Since someone will be in the shower with him, the area needs to be about 5 feet by 5 feet. My question is about how to manage the drain, what water barrier to put underneath, whether to use tile or a preformed base of some kind, and any other general tips you can provide from your experience. I have searched many websites and have seen many pictures of this type of shower. I am asking for first-hand knowledge about this. Is 5 x 5 reasonable? Thanks for any info. What is FRP?

Answer:
yes. i need more specifics. homeremodeler00@yahoo.com

Question : For a baby shower should we decorate a rocking chair of the mom to open gifts?
What are some other cute baby shower ideas

Answer:
I would decorate the chair. That's what I did when I threw a shower for my sister. We called it the "guest of honor" chair". We tied a few balloons to the back of the chair and put two pink bows on the arms.

Question : Where do I find a shower chair?
Does anyone have a shower chair that they would be willing to donate to me? I have RA. Arthritis. Thank-you.

Answer:
I don't know where you live but if you are from the UK try your local branch of the Red Cross. My Mum got several aids from them which were very useful. Some things can be donated from Social Services but it is a bit of a rigmarole to get them.

Question : Some kind of shower fall alert system!?!?
My 78 year old great grandfather suffers from Parkinson's Disease and other various problems. He has spells where he falls over and just nails the ground, after that, for about 30 - 40 minutes he can't stand because he has no balance. I am worried he will fall in the shower, there is absolutely no way we can get him a shower chair, he simply won't use it. I have seen things on trains where if you don't hit this red light every 5 minutes, the train will go onto the dead-man's system and lock the brakes, well is there something where if he doesn't press a button every 5 minutes, a loud alarm will sound to let us know. It needs to be loud and waterproof for the shower. If not, I need other suggestions.

Answer:
how about a vibration system, the same type that is attached to a window and emits a 96db sound when a brick is thrown at the window,b+q do these sensors, maplin does these as well the supply voltage is low(1.5 volts) can be put on the edge of the bath/shower, and the sound emmiter can be placed quite a dfistance from the shower so that the noise can be heard from a distance i hope i have been of help
